The New York Yankees on Friday, March 25, signed free agent pitcher Kevin Millwood to a minor league deal . The deal could be worth up to $3.5 million if Millwood makes 30 starts. The contract also stipulates that Millwood has to be on the major league roster by May 1 or he can opt out of the contract. The deal is a low risk one. Millwood is nothing more than a fill-in if an injury strikes a guy like Bartolo Colon, which is never out of the question with a guy of his girth.
